Coliseum Mall
The Coliseum Mall is located on I-64, on West Mercury Blvd, Hampton, VA. The physical address is: 1800 West Mercury Blvd,Hampton, VA.
The Coliseum mall has closed it's door starting for redevelopment in February of 2007. The anchor stores: Macy's, JCPenney, and Burlington Coat Factory are remaining open through out most of the construction.
The new Coliseum Mall will be renamed the Peninsula Town Center Mall.
Currently during redevelopment of the Coliseum Mall, there are 57 stores still open. The open stores are the anchors as stated above along with other stores such as: Barnes And Nobles, Steve & Barry's, and The Burlington Coat Factory.
The remaining mall stores are open from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on weekdays and Saturday and from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Sunday.
A big reason why the mall is being redeveloped was due to it being run down. The mall was becoming more and more notorious for the gang gatherings.
